About

Dr Katherine Iscoe is a keynote speaker, author, board member, and former CEO of a dual-listed public company, as well as an academic mentor and summa cum laude graduate with multiple scholarships and awards.

Despite these accomplishments and perceived public success, Dr Iscoe's mental health was on the brink of collapse for over two decades, starting at the age of 13. At that young age, the obsession with being liked paralysed her so she transformed into a chameleon not only to fit in with a popular group but also to become the person who garnered the most attention and affection, believing that second place was insignificant. Her only semblance of control came through strict diets and rigorous exercise routines, clinging to every lost calorie as a measure of their worth. She endured a debilitating eating disorder for more than ten years and battled severe depression and suicidal thoughts.

These deeply personal experiences are what drive Dr Iscoe's expertise in the realm of self-respect. At the heart of their quest for inner peace lay a lack of self-respect that fueled their self-destructive behaviours. This personal journey forms the foundational ethos behind the Rise with Respect program—a transformative initiative designed by Dr Iscoe to empower young girls, preparing them for a future brimming with pride, purpose, and passion.

Alongside her professional escapades, Dr Katherine is a dog-obsessed, murder-documentary loving nerd, who uses sewing as therapy and shoes as her healthy addiction. More recently, Katherine has challenged herself to enrol in acting classes (which satisfies her inner diva tremendously) as her dream one day is to play the role of a therapist in a Hollywood movie.
